Branch Awards 2025

Every year, we give CAMRA Awards to pubs and clubs in our Branch area. The shortlist is drawn up based on members visiting pubs and clubs and submitting beer scores, and also sending in recommendations for the next edition of the Good Beer Guide.

2025 Pub of the Year the Thames Side Brewery in Staines.

Head brewer and landlord of Thames Side Brewery Andy Hayward being presented with his Certificate by Branch Chair Spike, flanked by members of his brewing team. My thanks to Leo for the excellent photograph, see Leo Wilkinson Photography.

2025 Cider Pub of the Year the Olde Swan Hotel in Chertsey.

In April Landlord Phil Squire had a double celebration in the middle of his Beer Festival, when he was awarded his Certificate (with a fridge full of ciders in the background) and a Special Award, for his 10 years serving great ales and ciders at the Olde Swan Hotel. Phil is pictured with the latter, and his deputy Denise holding the Cider Pub of the Year certificate.

We presented during their March Beer Festival, no doubt will be more during the year so keep an eye on our Diary. Pictured L-R Bar Manager Tony, Landlord James and Festival Organiser Frankie.

2025 Club of the Year once again, the Egham United Services Club.

Their Branch AND County awards were presented during their 46th Beer Festival. L-R at back Club V.P. Alan, Manager Paul, and Club Secretary Bob; staff Liz and tbc in front. We paused for a moment to remember long serving Club Secretary Julie who tragically passed away in July as shown our News page.

Congratulations to our winners, who are well worth a visit if you've not done so already.
